Name: Cain
Race: Human

Age: 19
Gender: Male

Rank: n/a

Hair Color/Style: Black like obsidian, straight, falls long about his cheeks and gradually longer as it falls down in-between his shoulder blades in the rear
Fur Color/Style: n/a
Eye Color: Burgundy-hued eyes
Body Type: Light, toned, athletic but not at all overly bulky

Notable Traits: Intricate black feathered wings tattooed to his back and shoulders. They look as though folded against his flesh as a few select feathers fall away from them down his back to his waist. Another tattoo sits above the previous, on the back of the youth’s neck, it depicts an upside-down cross of a cryptic nature in black ink. He also sports peculiar scars on both palms, it looks as though something was run through each of his hands like a spike or pipe or...maybe even a nail.

Personality: Cain, as the boy has thus dubbed himself, is what most people would refer to as overly-serious, self-righteous, over-zealous and just an overall unpleasant person to talk to in most circumstances. Everything he does has an ulterior motive and every act is something willed as though from above. He’s convinced he is a warrior for God despite how he’s been forsaken by Him and that his only path is to sin against Him for the greater good. So his is a path of anguish and suffering all in the name of a God he no longer officially serves and though He is a merciful Father to others takes no notice of this passionate warrior’s existence... Cain is forsaken, and if he must, he will fight against his God’s order if he believes it to be that which will bring peace and harmony among those of the Flock.

So, in short...Cain is what most would refer to as mentally unstable. His self-righteous nature and zealous attitude tends to wear people out though for one of his age...he is not only extremely intelligent but also highly persuasive. He has a gift of words most preachers can only hope for and so despite his over-bearing demeanor, Cain manages to somehow make powerful allies of the most unlikely creatures...

Though Cain is mainly charismatic or over-bearing in his extremes, he’s also sadistic and cruel... Seeing others suffer is his only outlet, his only way to alleviate his own self-loathing and remorse at the fact he’s been abandoned by his divine Father. So, for and against the word of God he fights, with a lust to kill and torture those he feels have fallen from the true path...

Once again, in short, Cain is what most would refer to as mentally unstable...

One other mentionable thing is Cain’s sexual preference or rather, lack thereof. He sees sexual intercourse with females as a sin outside of wedlock, and since he sees himself as a priest or “chaplain” rather, he cannot engage in a marriage (something that isn't necessarily declared by the Bible itself, but the clergy just loves to have a sense of control over their follower's lives). So...therefore...his only other option is to engage in sexual activity with males (something he sees as a lesser sin in comparison to being with a woman, after all, women are seen as sinful creatures to most male-run societies and religions, even if the holy objects and books they follow mention no such things), which he has and will continue to do. Hence the presence of his earring in his right ear and not his left.

Off-the-wall? Yes. But efficient all the same. lol

Physical Appearance/Picture:
Cain looks to be a slightly gothic youth with his long, straight black hair and dark clothing. The attire he’s usually seen in consists of a black outfit one could almost refer to as a priest’s habit, and if most people were to take a closer look...they’d see that’s exactly what it is; though Cain keeps it as hidden as possible under a leather trench coat off of which hang a select few buckles and chains. The boy wears a black pair of Doc Martens on his feet and all upon him does he carry trinkets of his faith. Burgundy-brown prayer beads hang about his left wrist and loop about the middle finger on his left hand. A silver necklace sits about his neck though the cross that hangs on the chain is upside down (a sign of one who has fallen away from faith). A similar upside-down cross pendant hangs from his right ear lobe (made of silver and lined in onyx stone) with a couple beads. And on his right hand he wears a black glove that looks similar to the fishnet gloves most goths wear except this is solid black, not fishnet or spider webbed. Like the fishnet gloves it does not cover the fingers and instead loops about the thumb and pinky finger.

Now when it comes to weaponry, Cain carries some unique pieces... His weapon of choice is a .357 Colt Python with a 6” barrel made with stainless steel which gives it an almost chrome-like appearance. The youth stole it from the man who’d claimed to be his father and has since held onto it as a reminder of what he’d done. Cain also carries a tin flask of Holy Water he refills often whenever he’s near a church. The flask carries about 4 cups of fluid and he carries it on a brown leather strap he either slings about his shoulder or ties about his waist. Tucked into that same leather strap are three moderately sized silver stakes, perhaps 10” in length. Cain also carries a small pouch of silver-jacketed bullets (.357 revolver bullets) in which he keeps close tabs on his current supply. They don’t come cheap, and a lot of people don’t make them. He also carries a hearty supply of hollow-point and solid-point regular bullets for his gun.

Abilities: Slightly increased strength, speed, stamina and senses. Has a knack for scenting “evil” creatures i.e. Vampires, Werewolves, Lycanthropes, Demons etc.

Background/History:
Cain’s story is one that can be wrapped up in few words but the true atrocity would take a lifetime to explain...

He had always been a troubled child, even at a young age. He was quiet, detached and refused to converse with certain people. He would sometimes do strange things like lock the dog in a broom closet, pour soda or other drinks into the fishbowl (ultimately killing the fish), or even chase the neighborhood cats into trees and frighten them so badly they’d fall and either injure themselves or die. He would do all of this and watch in silence, as though he’d known what he was doing and had expected the outcome.

Needless to say he went through therapy much of his young life but that just seemed to estrange him more and make him more violent and prone to lash out. The only person he held any love for was his younger brother. The two were best of friends and did everything together. It was the only time Cain seemed like a normal child.

After the boy’s birth father died in a car accident their mother re-married to a man who was exceedingly well off. He forced the family to move and took a firm control over the boy’s lives. He assumed the role of fatherly-figure with a will and loved the boys as if they were his own. Cain saw this as a direct attack on his way of life (he being 10 at the time, his brother 8) and so learned to hate this man who claimed to be his father, especially since his younger brother was slowly becoming more and more attached to this man that was blood to neither of them...

As Cain and his brother grew, Cain’s hatred increased. This man fawned over his brother like a fool. He babied him, did everything for him, all while Cain was offered no attention or love (in Cain’s eyes, that is, the man tried often to show Cain affection but the boy refused it).

As the years went on Cain turned to faith to help him. At age 13, in middle school, he sought to teach himself of God (this being whom was always present, like the stories his mother told him as he grew up). He became fascinated with the stories and read through the Bible as quick as he could, learning of Cain and Abel and how God had forsaken Cain but loved Abel with a passion unmatched... It set a fire in the boy’s soul as he realized (or fantasized, rather) about how he must be Cain re-born, his brother the lovable Abel who stole all their father’s affection.

Cain slowly went insane at the thought and through his mental instability and ever growing hatred attracted the attention of a spirit of vengeance... The small spirit took notice of the boy and became intrigued, binding himself to the young Human so as to better watch his actions and help ease his mind into a state of decay. Cain had already had the misfortune of having such a spirit bind itself to him at his birth...one of chaos. That particular spirit had long since passed away, happy with its work, and that was when the spirit of vengeance saw fit to take control and wreak its own havoc...

Vengeance is a lovely thing, and Cain saw how pleasing it could be the more the spirit sank its fangs into his mind and urged him to take what it was he wanted... If you are Cain, then be Cain, take your vengeance in blood and flesh. They owe it to you...they owe it to you... They do not love you, they despise you. Show them how you despise them too...

It was with those silent whispered words Cain (now age 15) took from his stepfather’s gun case the .357, loaded it and proceeded to kill everyone in his household. First his brother...then his stepfather, and his mother as well who had screamed and wept at the sight of her dead son and husband. But Cain showed no emotion...this was his duty. He was Cain reborn. His purpose was to spend his life making up for those he’d killed. For the family he betrayed. And so as penance for the crime he knew he commit he drove a wooden stake through both of his palms much like the savior of long ago, only Cain did it to himself and under the judgment of no one other than himself. And though he suffered the pain he knew his decision had been right...

It had to be done... For it was unfair. To love one child but disregard the other...? Shameful... And if Cain had to sin in order to keep the world pure...then so be it. If his true Father would not acknowledge him just as he would not acknowledge the first Cain...then so be it. He would play his part, he would do what he had to in order to gain his Father’s attention. This was his world, and he would do his duty to the best of his ability.

For one so young to be a chaplain of his own logic...Cain is surely a dangerous entity indeed.

It was through the strength and wit of the vengeance spirit that Cain managed to skirt the notice of police authority and escaped from the massacre without being caught. Now the spirit continues to lead him towards some goal of darkness and horror, but his work is almost complete... Cain is almost entirely gone. Most of the time the spirit can just sit back and watch as Cain does what he’s been trained to do... Line the streets with chaos and uncertainty and taint the world with evil intentions.

Extra Notes: Cain is a capable urban warrior but much of it is based on the aid of the spirit of vengeance which has bound itself to him. It whispers to him like a subconscious shadow and gives him strength when he needs it, but Cain is not super-human. He can and will be defeated in battle, but when he sees the odds are against him he does as most intelligent warriors do...he flees.
